New RFID Book Drop

LSmart 24x7 is a state-of-the-art Bookdrop for secured returns 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without any human intervention,upgradable to multiple bins and auto sorter in future. Secured LSmart 24/7 RFID Bookdrop having dual security system and lighted icon indicators will intuitively guide the user through the return process which will involve below steps:

Step 1: Scan your book or patron card for opening the return chute, with LED display.

Step 2: Drop your book after which the chute will automatically close.

Step 3: A green light will show the book has been successfully accepted for return and automatically registered in the LIBSYS LMS.

Step 4: The book drop will return to the default position to accept new return.

A transaction confirmation will be sent to patron through e-mail/SMS.

In case the Bookdrop becomes offline in the network anytime, service will continue and the returns will be buffered in the memory, after getting online, the unit will automatically synchronize with the library management server and register the returns in the database. As this is an automatic Bookdrop with lighted icon indicators, there is no need of any touch screen / printer. However, one can opt for any of these features optionally.

This new LSmart 24/7 Bookdrop is available as a standalone unit with corian enclosure matching library interior or it can also be set in the wall of a room.
